Cedric Walker Victim in Fatal Shelby County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 7

Shelby County, Texas (October 16, 2019) – The driver who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Shelby County has been identified as Cedric Walker, 53, of Keithville, Louisiana, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The collision occurred around 11:30 a.m. October 13, on state Highway 7.

DPS said Walker was driving a 2017 Chevrolet van westbound on the highway when he crossed over the centerline and struck an eastbound 2010 GMC pickup towing a travel trailer.

Walker was pronounced dead at the scene

The GMC driver, Michael Webb, 69, of Etoile, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
