2 Killed in Spring Branch 5-Vehicle Crash on Highway 46 near Blanco Road

Spring Branch, Texas (July 19, 2019) – Two people were killed in a five-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Spring Branch, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash occurred just before 6:00 p.m. July 18, on Highway 46 near Blanco Road.

Authorities said a man was driving eastbound on the highway when he veered into the westbound lane and sideswiped two westbound cars. The truck then crashed head-on into a passenger car occupied by a man and woman. Another car then rear-ended another vehicle.

The man and woman in the passenger car were declared dead at the scene.

The driver of one of the other vehicles was taken to University Hospital in stable condition. All other occupants sustained minor injuries and declined treatment.

An investigation is ongoing.
