Two Killed in 6-Vehicle Crash on SH 56 near Whitesboro

Off-Duty Officer and Daughter Killed in Whitesboro Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 56

Whitesboro, Texas (April 6, 2021) – An off-duty police officer and his daughter were killed Monday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash near Whitesboro, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened on April 5, on State Highway 56 near Old Sanborn Ranch Road.

Authorities said six vehicles were traveling eastbound on the highway when they collided.

The Celina Police Department said an off-duty police officer and his daughter were killed in the crash.

Other people were taken to hospitals for treatment.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
