Eight Injured in SE Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash at CF Hawn Freeway and St. Augustine Drive; Pablo Hernandez Martinez Jr Arrested

Dallas, Texas (February 22, 2021) – Eight people were injured early Sunday morning in a DUI crash in southeast Dallas, according to authorities.

The crash was reported around 1:06 a.m., February 21, at the intersection of Westbound CF Hawn Freeway and St. Augustine Drive.

Authorities said Pablo Hernandez Martinez Jr.,21, was driving a 1999 black Chevrolet Silverado when he ran a red light intersection and hit a 2015 gray Nissan Pathfinder at high speed.

A woman was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Martinez was taken to Parkland and Baylor Scott. His passenger was taken to White University Medical Center.

The Nissan driver, a man, was taken to Baylor Scott and White.

Four other people in the Nissan were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Martinez was taken into custody on a charge of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
