Tyrone Anderson Killed in Amarillo Pedestrian Accident on Amarillo Boulevard

Amarillo, Texas (December 30, 2022) – A man in a wheelchair was fatally hit by a pickup truck Thursday morning in Amarillo, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:40 a.m., December 29, in the 3600 block of Amarillo Boulevard, near Grand Street, in front of the Sundown Motel.

Police said Tyrone Anderson, 53, was riding his wheelchair in the center turn lane when he was hit by a brown pickup truck.

Anderson was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The truck driver was taken into custody but has not been charged.

The police are investigating the crash.
