Ugochukwu Mbakwe Killed in South Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Ben White Boulevard

Austin, Texas (November 29, 2023) – The person who was killed last Monday in a wrong-way crash in South Austin has been identified as 35-year-old Ugochukwu Mbakwe, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 12:02 a.m., November 20, in the 1000 block of West Ben White Boulevard westbound.

Police said Mbakwe was driving a sedan the wrong way when he crashed head-on into an SUV.

Mbakwe was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and a passenger in the SUV were uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
