Victor Soto Killed in Round Rock Pedestrian Accident at Louis Henna Boulevard and La Frontera Boulevard

Round Rock, Texas (August 3, 2022) – According to the police, a juvenile was killed on July 31 in a hit-and-run accident in Round Rock.

The deadly accident happened at the intersection of Louis Henna Boulevard and La Frontera Boulevard.

Police said 25-year-old Leandro Brito-Martinez was driving a 2019 Honda that was reported as stolen earlier in the day, and officers tried to pull him over, but he fled from them.

Brito-Martinez ran a red light at the intersection and struck a Kia and Victor Soto, 14, who was crossing the street on his skateboard.

The officers had stopped pursuing him when the crash happened.

Soto was pronounced dead at the scene. Occupants of the two vehicles sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Brito-Martinez fled the scene on foot, but he was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including murder and fleeing from police. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail on Wednesday, August 3, on a $1 million bond.

The police are investigating the crash.
