Warren Jay Slaton Killed in Amarillo Workplace Accident at Tyson Foods Plant on FM 1912

Amarillo, Texas (August 7, 2019) – A man was killed in a workplace accident Friday night in Amarillo, according to a local news release.

The accident occurred just before 9:00 p.m. August 2, at the Tyson Foods plant located at 5000 Farm to Market Road 1912.

Authorities said Warren Jay Slaton, 34, was working on line equipment at the plant when he became pinned between several loaded pallets.

Slaton was declared dead at the scene.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the crash.
