28-Year-Old William Webb Killed in Abilene Car Crash on I-20 near West Lake Road

Abilene, Texas (January 12, 2019) – A 28-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Abilene on Friday afternoon, police said.
The wreck happened on I-20 near West Lake Road at about 3:45 p.m. January 11.
Police said William Randall Webb, 28, of Abilene, was driving a white 2009 Ford F-250 westbound on I-20 when he lost control and crossed over the wire barrier into the eastbound side. The Ford was struck on its side by an eastbound semi-truck.
A silver van also crashed into the Ford.
The impact of the crash ejected Webb from his truck. Police said he had his seat belt on but it broke loose due to the impact of the accident.
Webb was killed in the crash. It’s unclear whether the other motorists were hurt.
The police are investigating the collision.
