San Antonio, Texas – A woman was injured early Saturday morning after being struck by a car in San Antonio’s South Side, according to the police.

The accident happened around 3:10 a.m., April 20, at the intersection of Pine Street and I-37.

Police said they arrived at the scene and found the woman on the ground next to a parked vehicle. Investigators were still trying to determine if the woman was actually hit by the SUV or if she jumped out in front of the vehicle.

The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The SUV driver, a man, was detained for questioning and was later under investigation for DWI.

The police are investigating the crash.
