Woman Killed in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 249 near Bammel North Houston Road

Harris County, Texas (February 17, 2023) – A woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle early Thursday in north Harris County, authorities said.

The deadly crash occurred shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Highway 249, just northwest of Bammel North Houston Road.

First responders found the woman lying in the roadway. She was transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver involved in the crash stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
