Crystal Pineda and Andres Pineda Killed, Three Injured in North Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Esperanza Road near Spring Valley Road; Faustino Rivera Wanted

Dallas, Texas (April 30, 2022) – Two people were killed and three others were injured Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in Far North Dallas, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 9:00 p.m., April 29, in the 13900 block of Esperanza Road, near Spring Valley and Coit roads.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the roadway when it crashed head-on into an SUV.

Two teenagers in the SUV, Crystal Pineda, 16, and Andres Pineda, 15, were killed in the crash. Their three friends were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. One of the injured victims has been identified as Miguel Guerrero.

The pickup truck driver fled the scene on foot after the crash. He has been identified as Faustino Membreno Rivera. He was driving a truck with the license plate number RHF3302 and was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and pants. The authorities are still looking for him.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
