Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Milam Street near Walker

Houston, Texas – A woman was killed Monday afternoon in a pedestrian accident in downtown Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 12:25 p.m., January 29, in the 900 block of Milam Street near Walker, 4 blocks away from HPD headquarters.

Police said a man was driving a pickup truck westbound on Walker and was making a left turn onto Milam when he struck a woman who was crossing the street.

The woman had the right of way. She was taken to the hospital where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The man remained at the scene after the accident.

The crash closed the intersection for almost three hours.

The police are investigating the crash.
