Woman Hospitalized after End-Of-Pursuit Crash on Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas

49-Year-Old Woman Injured in Dallas Car Accident on Walnut Hill Lane; Carjacking Suspect Arrested
Dallas, Texas (January 31, 2019) – A 49-year-old woman was hospitalized Tuesday night after a chase ended in a traffic accident in northeast Dallas, according to a local news source.
The wreck happened at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 29 in the 8200 block of Walnut Hill Lane.
According to police, the carjacked vehicle, which had four occupants, was speeding eastbound on Walnut Hill Lane. An unidentified witness to the carjacking was in pursuit.
Police said the vehicle then cut through a parking lot and turned onto southbound Rambler Road. It failed to stop a stop sign at Walnut Hill and collided with another vehicle driven by the 49-year-old woman.
The woman was transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas with a broken arm and sternum.
The driver of the stolen vehicle sustained a serious head injury and was also transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas in critical condition, and was later arrested.
Police said two of the other three people in the stolen vehicle were arrested a short time later on aggravated robbery charges.
The names of the suspects have not been disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
