Woman Dies in Maud Pedestrian Crash near U.S. Highway 67 and Texas Highway 8
Maud, Texas (August 6, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Tuesday morning in Maud, according to the DPS.
The crash was reported at about 3:30 a.m. near U.S. Highway 67 and Texas Highway 8.
DPS said a woman walking in the area was struck by a vehicle, whose driver fled the scene before the police arrived.
The victim died in the crash. Her identity was not immediately available.
The crash is under investigation.
