Woman Killed in Forney Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 80 near Gateway Boulevard

Forney, Texas (June 2, 2020) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Forney, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. on July 1, on U.S. Highway 80 near Gateway Boulevard.

According to the report, a crash happened on westbound U.S. Highway 80, causing traffic to slow down.

Witnesses said a woman was driving an SUV over 70 mph and was not slowing down as she approached the traffic congestion, which was stopped for the first crash.

The woman swerved at the last minute but rear-ended a semi-trailer.

The impact ejected the woman from the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
