Woman Killed in Car Crash at Metric Boulevard and Cedar Bend Drive in Austin

Woman Killed in North Austin Three-Vehicle Crash at Metric Boulevard and Cedar Bend Drive

Austin, Texas (April 29, 2022) – The woman who was injured on April 21 in a three-vehicle crash at a north Austin intersection has died, according to the police.

The crash happened around 9:15 a.m., at the intersection of Metric Boulevard and Cedar Bend Drive.

Police said a Kia Rio was traveling northbound on Metric Boulevard when it tried to turn left onto Cedar Bend Drive, failed to yield the right of way, and was struck by a GMC Acadia. The force of the impact caused the Kia to hit a parked Volkswagen.

The Kia driver was taken to the hospital, where she died on April 24. Her name has not been released.
