Samuel Decker Arrested after Fatal Pearland Car Crash on Harkey and Bailey Road

Pearland, Texas (June 29, 2019) – A man was arrested following a traffic collision that left a woman dead and two children injured in Pearland Thursday night, according to the Pearland Police Department.

The incident happened at about 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, on Harkey and Bailey Road.

Police said the woman and children were riding in a car that collided with a white truck driven by Samuel Decker.

The woman died in the collision while the children were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Decker was also hospitalized for his injuries. He was later charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the crash.

The car had damage to its sides while the truck sustained frontal damage.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
