Woman Hospitalized after Canyon Crash on U.S. 87
Canyon, Texas (May 2, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured Wednesday morning in a traffic accident in Canyon, police said.
The crash happened on U.S. 87 Wednesday, May 1 on U.S. 87.
According to the police, a woman was driving her white SUV into a construction zone on 87 and began slowing down as the highway went down to one lane. As she was slowing down, her vehicle was hit from behind by a blue Kia sedan.
The force of the impact caused the SUV flipped over.
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The crash caused the closure of U.S. 87 as authorities investigated the accident.
