Aman Qureshi Killed in Denton Two-Vehicle Crash at Jim Christal Road and Western Boulevard; Damon Brown Arrested
Denton, Texas (November 10, 2021) – The man who was killed on October 22 in a DWI crash in Denton has been identified as Aman Qureshi, 34, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash happened around 2:15 a.m., at the intersection of Jim Christal Road and N. Western Boulevard.
Authorities said Damon Brown, 52, of Krum, was driving at a high rate of speed when he ran a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into another vehicle driven by Qureshi.
Qureshi was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. He was released on November 8 and was arrested for murder, and taken to the Denton County Jail.
Brown’s criminal history showed he had been convicted of DWI three separate times.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
