Woman Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Spring Cypress in Harris County

Woman Killed in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on Spring Cypress near Kuykendahl

Harris County, Texas (June 17, 2023) – A woman died after she was struck while pushing a vehicle that had broken down Saturday morning in northwest  Harris County, authorities said.

The deadly crash happened in the 4415 block of Spring Cypress near Kuykendahl in the Spring area.

Authorities said a 40-year-old woman and her boyfriend were pushing a broken-down SUV. Reportedly, the woman was standing next to the driver-side door while her boyfriend was behind the vehicle.

Unfortunately, a vehicle driven by a 76-year-old man hit the woman. A second vehicle hit the SUV.

The woman was declared dead at the scene.

No one else was injured. Both drivers stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Authorities said the SUV may have had an electrical failure and had no lights on. The crash remains under investigation.
