Xavier Tunsun ID’d as Man Killed in Northeast Austin Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Cameron Road near U.S. 183

Austin, Texas (August 2, 2019) – The man who was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident early Sunday morning in Northeast Austin has been identified as 28-year-old Xavier Tunsun, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 2:37 a.m. July 28, in the 8700 block of Cameron Road, north of U.S. 183.

Police said Tunsun had gotten out of a 2016 Chrysler 300 while it was moving northbound on Cameron Road and was hit by another vehicle.

Tunsun was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle that hit Tunsun fled the scene heading northbound.

The police are still searching for that vehicle believed to be gold or tan with dark wheels or no hubcaps.
