Yefrin Rivera Killed in Head-On Crash on FM 812 in Travis County

Yefrin Rivera Killed in Travis County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 812 near U.S. Highway 183

Travis County, Texas (March 11, 2021) – The man who was killed last month in a head-on collision in southeast Travis County has been identified as Yefrin Rivera, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., on February 27, on FM 812 near U.S. Highway 183.

DPS said Rivera was driving a 2015 Toyota Tundra when he crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a 2013 GMC Sierra.

Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene.

The GMC driver was taken to St. David’s South Austin Hospital with serious injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
