Yolanda Enene, Joyce Bryan Killed in Shelby County Crash on US 59

Shelby County, Texas (July 28, 2019) – Two people were killed in a collision involving a big rig on Saturday morning in Shelby County, according to the DPS.

The crash took place at about 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, on US 59.

DPS said Yolanda Enene, 62, of Houston, was driving a 2008 Ford passenger car northbound on US 59 when she was rear-ended by a 2016 Volvo truck tractor-trailer.

Enene and her passenger, Joyce Bryan, 80, of Houston, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the big rig, Yakul Soni, 28, of Ontario, Canada, was not injured.

The DPS is investigating the incident.
