San Antonio, Texas – The 21-year-old man who was killed Thursday evening in a motorcycle accident in San Antonio’s Northwest side has been identified as Yonathan Santana Pubilliones, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:15 p.m., on April 4, in the 8300 block of Potranco Road between the intersections of Ingram Road and Military Drive.

Police said Pubilliones was riding a motorcycle eastbound at a high rate of speed while a grey Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound. The Impala turned left into the eastbound lanes directly in front of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to hit the passenger side of the Impala.

Pubilliones was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Impala, a 37-year-old, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No additional information was available.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
