Zamundio Castro Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at North Frankford Avenue and Kent Street

Lubbock, Texas (December 25, 2019) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday night at a Lubbock intersection, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash took place just before 8:50 p.m., December 23 in the 3700 block of North Frankford Avenue at the intersection of Kent Street.

Authorities said Zamundio Castro, 34, was driving on Kent Street when his vehicle collided with another vehicle at the intersection.

Castro was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was taken to UMC with serious injuries.

The LPD Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
