William Brunt Jr. ID’d as Victim Killed in Lorenzo Crash on U.S Highway 62/82
Lorenzo, Texas (September 6, 2022) – The person who died in a traffic collision Monday afternoon near Lorenzo has been identified as William Reese Brunt Jr., 71, of Fairfield, Texas.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash was reported shortly after 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 5, on U.S Highway 62/82, just east of Lorenzo.
DPS said a vehicle was heading eastbound on U.S Highway 62/82 when it struck Brunt’s vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of the road facing eastbound.
Brunt was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with serious injuries.
No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
