1 Critically Injured in Bicycle Accident on SH 71 SVRD EB in Austin

One Person Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Austin Bicycle Crash on State Highway 71 SVRD EB

Austin, Texas (July 27, 2022) – One person was critically injured in a traffic accident in southeast Austin on Tuesday, according to authorities.

The wreck occurred in the 4100 block of E State Highway 71 Svrd Eastbound on July 26.

Authorities said a bicycle and a pickup truck were involved in the crash.

One person sustained critical, life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.

No other injuries were immediately reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
