One Critically Injured in East Bexar County Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 1604 near Highway 87

Bexar County, Texas (June 28, 2023) – One person was critically injured Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in East Bexar County, according to the deputies.

The crash happened on June 27, on Loop 1604, just south of Highway 87.

Deputies said a black Tesla and a water truck were involved in the crash.

The Tesla driver was trapped, but he was removed and taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The crash closed the northbound and the southbound lanes of Loop 1604 in the area of Highway 87 and FM 3465.

The deputies are investigating the crash.
