Three Injured in Robertson County Train Accident on Bartkowiak Road near Bremond         

Robertson County, Texas (October 8, 2019) – Three people were injured in a train collision in Robertson County, according to a local news source.

The crash took place around 10:30 a.m. on Bartkowiak Road south of Bremond.

DPS said a Union Pacific train was heading northbound when it struck an eastbound 1999 Lexus four-door.

A 2-year-old and another child less than one-year-old, in the car, were taken to McLane Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A female passenger was taken to Baylor Scott & White Temple also with non-life threatening injuries.

The Lexus driver, Ryan Jones of Bremond, 19, was taken to CHI St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, where he was treated and released. He was then arrested for DWI with a child and possession of marijuana under two ounces.

The crash remains under investigation.
