One Killed, Two Critically Hurt in Montgomery Car Accident on Eva Street
Montgomery, Texas (February 11, 2019) – One person was killed and two others were critically injured Sunday afternoon in a head-on collision in Montgomery, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10 in front of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in the 21000 block of Eva Street.
According to the authorities, a Dodge pickup truck was traveling on Eva Street when for an unknown reason it crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with a KIA occupied by four people.
A passenger, who was in the front seat of the KIA, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The name of the deceased has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
The driver of the KIA and a second passenger were transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The operator of the truck sustained lacerations in the collision and he faces possible charges after investigators reportedly found pills in the vehicle.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
