One Injured in Austin 18-Wheeler Crash on U.S. Highway 290 at Johnny Morris Road

Austin, Texas (September 4, 2021) – One person was injured Friday afternoon in an 18-wheeler crash in Austin, according to the authorities.

The crash occurred just after 3:00 p.m., September 3, on U.S. Highway 290 and Johnny Morris Road.

Authorities said the crash involved a passenger car and an 18-wheeler.

The car went underneath the belly of the jackknifed 18-wheeler. Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

No other information was provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
