One Injured in Lubbock Crash at 62nd Street and Quaker Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (August 13, 2022) – One person was seriously injured in a Friday afternoon traffic collision in Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Police Department.

The wreck happened at about 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, in the area of 62nd Street and Quaker Avenue.

Lubbock police said three vehicles collided in the area under unclear circumstances. One of the vehicles crashed through a fence of a residence

One person sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Authorities partially closed the northbound lanes on Quaker Avenue, while 63rd Street was completely blocked off. Drivers were being asked to avoid the area.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
