1 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on FM 1585 in Lubbock County

One Injured in Lubbock County Three-Vehicle Crash on FM 1585 at US 62

Lubbock County, Texas (May 16, 2023) – One person was injured Monday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Lubbock County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened just after 11:30 a.m., May 15, at the intersection of FM 1585 and US 62.

DPS said a passenger car was trying to turn off of FM 1585 onto US 62 when it pulled into the path of a cement mixer truck on the highway, and the vehicles collided. The car continued traveling and collided with a box truck.

The car driver was taken to Covenant Medical Center with moderate to serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
