One Injured in Brownsville Three-Vehicle Crash on Ruben M. Torres; Vito Moreno Arrested

Brownsville, Texas (February 20, 2022) – One person was injured on Saturday in a hit-and-run accident in Brownsville, according to the police.

The crash occurred on February 19, in the 2200 Block of Ruben M. Torres.

Police said Vito Eric Moreno was driving when he hit a vehicle, causing that vehicle to hit another vehicle.

Moreno fled the scene after the crash.

One of the other drivers sustained several injuries in the crash.

Moreno was located in his vehicle in the 3700 Block of Ruben M. Torres. He was arrested, and it was determined that he was intoxicated. He was arraigned on February 19 on charges of accident involving injury and driving while intoxicated, with a bond set at $9,000.

The police are investigating the crash.
