The crash happened just after 6:00 p.m., August 23, in the area of University Drive and Glenhaven.

Police said an SUV attempted to make a left-hand turn from the eastbound lanes on a yellow light into a parking lot and was hit by a westbound car that had a green light.

The impact caused the SUV to spin and hit a College Station Fire response vehicle that was parked at the light.

The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with a minor injury.

An investigation is underway.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
