1 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at U.S. 287 and FM 119 near Dumas

Dumas, Texas – One person was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash north of Dumas, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m., May 9, at the intersection of U.S. 287 and FM 119.

Deputies said a JBS cattle truck was exiting Dumas Cattle Feeders with a load of cattle when the driver failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a passenger vehicle, resulting in a collision.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to an Amarillo hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

No other injuries were reported.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
