One Injured in Bridge City Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 87 at Rainbow Bridge

Bridge City, Texas (February 2, 2022) – One person was injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Bridge City, according to the police.

The crash happened around 7:15 p.m., February 1, on Highway 87 at the Rainbow Bridge.

Police said two vehicles collided along the highway and one of them ended up in the river at the base of the bridge.

One person was pulled from a truck that was inside the river. The person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The truck was also removed from the river.

The crash closed the highway into Port Arthur.

The crash remains under investigation.
