One Killed and One Critically Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on South Main

Houston, Texas (September 10, 2019) – A person was killed and another was critically injured Monday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in southwest Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:12 p.m. September 9, in the 14100 block of South Main.

Police said a woman was driving a maroon Toyota northbound when she hit two people.

One of the victims was declared dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver left the scene and went about a mile away to a gas station to call her family members. She later returned to the scene with her family.

Officers said alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

An investigation is underway.
