One Killed, One Hospitalized after Harlingen Car Crash at Harrison Avenue and Loop 499

Harlingen, Texas (May 3, 2022) – One person was killed and another was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Harlingen on Saturday, according to the Harlingen Police Department.

The deadly crash happened at around 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Loop 499.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Loop 499 under unclear circumstances.

Two people were taken to nearby hospitals, where one of them was declared dead. Their names have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation.
