1 Killed, 1 Injured in School Bus Crash on FM 1431 in Jonestown

Woman Killed and Another Injured in Jonestown School Bus Crash on FM 1431

Jonestown, Texas (October 30, 2021) – A woman was killed, and another person was injured Friday morning in a school bus crash in Jonestown, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened just before 8:00 a.m., October 29, on FM 1431.

DPS said a red Ford Focus was traveling eastbound on the highway when it struck a westbound Leander ISD school bus.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash.

The Ford driver was airlifted to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The bus driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
