1 Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Crash on FM 1061 in Potter County

One Killed and Two Injured in Potter County Three-Vehicle Crash on FM 1061 near Valle de Oro

Potter County, Texas (August 11, 2022) – One person was killed, and two others were injured Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Potter County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 9:40 a.m. on FM 1061 near Valle de Oro.

DPS said a semi-truck was traveling northbound, and a U-Haul vehicle was traveling southbound on the highway.

The semi-truck driver crossed lanes and crashed head-on into the U-Haul. The U-Haul caught fire after the collision.

A pickup truck was traveling southbound when it crashed into the U-Haul.

The U-Haul driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver and the pickup truck driver were airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
