1 Killed, 3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20 in Palo Pinto County

One Killed, Three Injured in Palo Pinto County Crash on Interstate 20 near Parker

Palo Pinto County, Texas (December 11, 2022) – One person was killed and three other people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Palo Pinto County on Friday evening, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash happened at around 5:15 p.m. Friday, December 9, on Interstate 20 near the Parker.

DPS said a 2004 Freightliner 18-wheeler, a passenger car, and another big rig slowed down due to traffic, but a third truck failed to slow and struck the second truck, which hit the passenger car.

A fourth truck then struck some of the others involved. The Freightliner caught fire after the crash.

The driver of the third truck died at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The second truck’s driver, the passenger vehicle’s driver, and the passenger were all transported to nearby hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately disclosed.

The driver of the Freightliner and the fourth truck were not injured.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
