One Killed, Seven Hospitalized after El Paso Crash at Artcraft Road and Upper Valley Road

El Paso, Texas (August 18, 2022) – One person was killed and seven other people were injured in a traffic collision Wednesday morning in El Paso, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash was reported just after 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, at the intersection of Artcraft Road and Upper Valley Road.

An SUV reportedly hit a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle. The SUV then crashed into a canal.

A water rescue team responded to the location and pulled out eight people. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while seven other patients were transported to a hospital, six with moderate injuries and one with life-threatening injuries.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
