1 Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-35 in Georgetown

One Injured in Georgetown 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 35

Georgetown, Texas (June 4, 2021) – One person was injured Thursday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in Georgetown, according to the police.

The crash was reported around 1:48 a.m., June 3, on Interstate 35, just north of Highway 29.

Police said two 18-wheelers were involved in the collision.

One of the 18-wheelers was carrying a load of Coke soft drinks, and it spilled onto the road after the crash.

One of the drivers had to be freed from their vehicle and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 35. The lanes have since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
