Person Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash at I-10 East and Normandy

Houston, Texas (May 18, 2019) – A person was killed in an auto-pedestrian collision involving a big rig early Saturday morning in Houston.
Police said the crash was reported at about 5:51 a.m. on I-10 East at Normandy.
According to the report, a driver in a red car got out of the vehicle after it was stalled.
The driver was hit by a white pickup truck. An 18-wheeler driver lost control and overturned while trying to avoid the wreck.
The pedestrian who was hit was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The identities of the parties involved were not immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation.
