14-Year-Old Critically Injured in Frisco Bicycle Accident at Independence Parkway and Sumac Lane

Frisco, Texas (October 16, 2021) – According to the police, a 14-year-old boy was critically injured Friday afternoon in a bicycle accident in Frisco.

The accident happened just after 4:15 p.m., October 15, at the intersection of Independence Parkway and Sumac Lane, just north of Independence High School.

Police said the boy was riding a bicycle northbound on Independence Parkway and was crossing the intersection when he collided with a Ford truck.

The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Ford driver remained at the scene after the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.
