Betsy Hill Killed in Burnet County Two-Vehicle Crash at US 281 and RM 1855 

Burnet County, Texas (August 11, 2022) – A woman was killed Wednesday night in a rear-end collision in Burnet County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m., August 10, at the intersection of US 281 and RM 1855.

DPS said a 2003 Kia Optima with three occupants was traveling northbound on US 281 and was stopped at a red light at the intersection when it was rear-ended by a 2010 Ford F-150 that was traveling at a high rate of speed.

One of the passengers in the Kia, 51-year-old Betsy Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
