1 Killed in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-35 in San Antonio

One Killed in San Antonio 18-Wheleer Crash on Interstate 35 at Rittiman Road

San Antonio, Texas (July 6, 2023) – One person was killed Tuesday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 6:15 a.m., July 4, at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Rittiman Road.

Police said an 18-wheeler was traveling at a high rate of speed on the southbound I-35 access road when it struck another 18-wheeler which was stopped at the light and was preparing to turn left onto Rittiman Road.

The driver of the big rig that crashed into the back of the other 18-wheeler was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

The driver of the truck that was stopped at the intersection was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
