One Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Eastex Freeway at Hopper

Houston, Texas (June 23, 2021) – One person was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the deputies.

The deadly crash happened on June 21, on the Eastex Freeway at Hopper.

Deputies said a Toyota SUV rear-ended a pickup truck, before crashing into the center wall.

The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The crash closed the highway and it was reopened around 2:00 p.m.

An investigation is underway.
